Running in Sweden

June 9, 2017

We were fortunate to be in Forshaga on a day the city had a race scheduled. The E-18 Loppet was a 6.5 K (4 miles) race on the new section of highway e-18.

Fredagen den 9 juni invigs den nya E18-sträckan väster om Karlstad med en löpupplevelse över 6,5 kilometer.

I should mention that the race STARTED at 7:00 pm. Seems a bit late to someone from midwest America, but it never realy gets dark in Sweden during the summer. Honest! Swedes also know how to do a loppet (race)!! To warm up before the race they had about a 20 minute dance party for stretching and loosening up. Ah, Sweden! What a wonderful country.

The girls did great and I was so happy to be running a race in Sweden with my children.

Here are some pictures of Bret (52), Cora (15), and Neva (13)

Here are the Blackfords ready to conquer the loppet ..
